Spring 08 In the Books, UK Next

Spring 2008 is in the books. I finished my last final this morning and am moving on to the summer, which hopefully includes working somewhere. More on the job search later. First, let me tell you about the Carnegie Hall performance and then this upcoming trip overseas.

Carnegie was amazing. Four fun days in New York, riding subways and seeing sights. This all culminated in the performance in Carnegie. With the top balcony closed, there were probably 1200-1400 of 2000 seats filled. We sang our lungs out and had a blast performing, like we always do. We got interrupted in the middle of a song by a standing ovation. And when it was over we ran backstage and celebrated like it was the best and last gig we’d ever done.

But there comes one more - and by one more I mean one more trip with a lot of performances. We fly out Saturday to Manchester. Once we land, we catch the coach and drive to Edinburgh. Overnight there, then off to Dornoch - in the north of Scotland. We have all Tuesday there before a Wednesday departure for Stirling. From Stirling to Glasgow. From Glasgow to Wales. From Wales to Gloucestershire, and from Gloucestershire to London for a few days. Then we head back to Manchester and depart from there directly back to Atlanta to arrive home on the 14th of May.

And then I have to start working - somewhere. I’d really like to work for a small venture or small/medium sized company somewhere doing what I love - working in an environment that everyone loves every day. My experience is in IT and marketing, and I’m also willing to do grunt work. And I have a heck of an updated resume, I say.

Take care, y’all. Hold down the fort whilst I am abroad. I’ll be back soon enough.
